We are Te-Awhi, a polynesian dance group in Las Vegas. Te-Awhi is pronounced Te Afi, a maori name from New Zealand. It means to cuddle and love, embrace or cherish. We have created our culture to be of love, unity, modesty, integrity and humility.  Our training of the maori culture comes from a few teachers mainly Dane N. of Tauranga, New Zealand.  He was born into the tribes of Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Kahungunu. The maori culture is of preservation and conservation of the land and their language. Our most popular performance is the famous Kamate Haka and Four Powers Haka.  The haka presentation that we perform last about 5 to 10 minutes.
